Eugene Symphony showcases the orchestra’s virtuosity with movement, color, and more in its 59th season.

Eugene Symphony (ESA) will present an exhilarating season highlighting the orchestra and two world premieres with their 2023/24 Season. Opening Thursday, September 21, 2023, the season features many works and composers that they have always wanted to bring to Silva Concert Hall to showcase the immense virtuosity of the orchestra in Music Director and Conductor Francesco Lecce-Chong’s final season of his tenure.

Eugene Symphony is showcasing new voices and new ideas, including a brand-new work by Composer-in-Residence Michael Djupstrom as part of the First Symphony Project and the world premiere of a commissioned piece by Pius Cheung of the University of Oregon. This season also embraces the enduring orchestral works by timeless and contemporary composers such as Rachmaninov, Wynton Marsalis, Tchaikovsky, Mahler, Hildur Guðnadóttir, and both Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn.

The season will also see Act III of Richard Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde – which completes a three-year exploration of the work – and both new and returning guest soloists, including harpist Chloe Tula, pianist Claire Huangci, and vocalist Nina Warren. Join the Symphony for three special concerts: a New Year’s Eve Celebration on December 31, 2023; Star Wars: Episode IV: A New Hope on May 4, 2024; and the annual Family Concert on April 21, 2024. It promises to be an unforgettable season.

Tickets: Full-season subscriptions are available on March 14, 2023, with Compose Your Own 5- and 3-Concert packages available starting May 30 and Single Ticket Sales opening on August 1. All ticket options available at eugenesymphony.org or the Hult Center Ticket Office at 541-682-5000.
